I had to self inject for 28 days after having a total hysterectomy. At first I was very nervous to do this as I am not good with needles but after a few days of the district nurse having to come and do this I decided I just had to do it and it was fine. It's a very fine needle and did not hurt at all, it's. it something I looked forward to doing but that was more to do with the idea of it rather than how it felt. I had a small bleed from the scar 1 week after my op but other than that no side effects.
