Had colonoscopy today at Good Hope hospital opted for Gas/air buy didn't need it, It was almost painless including the removal of 3 polyps. I was asking questions and watched the whole procedure on their monitor. All of the staff were wonderful reassuring me as needed. Lovely to see Nikki again.

I had a colonoscopy and it was an entirely painless experience. I opted for gas and air rather than sedation but hardly needed it. There was mild discomfort at one or two points but Mr Mankotia suggested in advance when that might happen. He explained that rather than use air to facilitate the procedure he had used water. That also meant that I did not experience any abdominal discomfort after the procedure due to trapped wind. All in all my experience was of a competent doctor treating me kindly. For 5 stars I might have wanted slightly more interaction with him, but I recognise that there is a huge backlog and they are very busy. My procedure took place on a Sunday.

I was extremely pleased with my gallbladder removal operation. Mr Mankotia was very good , he explained everything to me, he was calm and reassuring which helped me to stay calm. After the operation, he came to see me and again he reassured me that everything went will. This is a very important part of having that trust with the person who is performing the operation. I feel that the level of care, support and conversation about my operation was first class. Thank you.
