From the moment my 15yo daughter walked into the consultation Mr Jan noticed her awkward gait and could see the toll her issues were taking on her. He was the first consultant in a long time to really listen to her and take an holistic view of how to help her. When he couldn’t perform the proposed surgery himself due to age restrictions, he and his medical secretary Helen moved heaven and earth to help Lara find a surgeon who could. As a parent, this is the help and compassion you really need when trying to sort out your child’s healthcare. Exemplary.

I was so pleased i chose Mr Jan as my surgeon. After coming to a very difficult decision to have a hysterectomy I visited Mr Jan for my first consultation. He has a very calming yet confident manner which i found reassuring. Pre op, i had a few queries which were dealt with by Helen (Mr Jan's secretary). What a lovely lady! Nothing was too much trouble and she always came back to me with answers quickly. Mr Jan specialises in minimal invasive surgery but i was still amazed at how tiny and neat the incisions were. I'm now 3 weeks post op and feel great. There is no doubt i would recommend Mr Jan for any gynaecological procedure. From start to finish i felt i was in safe hands and i couldn't have asked for more.

4th Feb 2021 This was my second laparoscopy under the care of Mr. Jan. First successful Lap Oct 2017. I am currently going through IVF and my fertility clinic could not access my right ovary which had moved over time and was hidden behind my uterus. I asked 3 gynaecologists at my fertility clinic if the ovary could be moved to a more accessible position to which they responded “no, absolutely not”. I decided to get in contact with Mr. Jan and ask him the same question, I trust his opinion. I was ready to let my right ovary go but his response was “yes, it can be moved”. Two weeks later I had the op, the staff were brilliant in the hospital. I have severe adenomyosis and an adenomyoma so I can only imagine what skill and vision it took to make the impossible possible. Mr. Jan. also removed some adhesions which were causing me pain and stopped me from exercising. Two weeks post-op I was back exercising. A month post-op I had a scan with Mr. Jan and there my ovary was in all her glory, I have not seen my right ovary in so long. I have no doubt that my fertility clinic will be amazed that my right ovary is back in play. My scars from the 2 ops with Mr. Jan are minimal. I have been under the care of Mr. Jan since 2017. As always Helen is a star. After over 15 years of suffering in pain, Mr. Jan’s skill as a surgeon and his centred approach has allowed me to have a better quality of life and most importantly to me, peace of mind that I am in the best hands possible. This review doesn't express my gratitude enough. I went from having one ovary .... to now having two...in IVF that changes everything.

Amazing doctor, answered all my questions and put me at ease. Very pleasant and professional. PA Helen was also very efficient in booking my Hysteroscopy very quickly.
