I have breast cancer and had WLE and sentinel node biopsy done by Mr Davies one week ago at King Edward Hospital in London. Surgery was successful and confirmed that Mr Davies was right in recommending WLE and sentinel node biopsy. He removed the two tumors (smaller size than initially thought), three lymph nodes came back as clear, overall pathology as good as it can be - under the circumstances. I am recovering fine and so far there are no problems or side effects. So apart form some soreness and discomfort in my breast and underarm, which can not be avoided - Mr Davies has taken away my main and biggest worry - my cancerous tumour. He made the right recommendation for surgery, he reassured me, he helped minimise trauma - physical, mental and emotional. And post surgery side effects - there are none. Mr Davies was professional and informative, reliable and responsive, kind, funny at times - all of which was very refreshing. He is a very competent surgeon, with great track record. Very genuine, and clearly had my best interest in mind. Initially I saw Mr Davies for a 2nd opinion, he was recommended by someone he treated a couple of year ago. But than I was very concerned as my previous hospital/consultant kept changing their suggestions and decisions, and than cancelled my surgery last minute. I am very grateful that Mr Davies was available and that I could rely on him to do the surgery with no further delay. I feel fortunate that my surgery was done by Mr Davies, and would recommend him with no hesitation - for consultations, for a 2nd opinion, for recommendations or simply to discus your options, highly recommended for surgery, of course, and for post surgery responsiveness and care. Genuine, competent, professional and kind.

I am 68 years old and have always wanted breast augmentation but have been to scared to go through with it. Giles Davies was recommended to me and at my initial consultation he took away away all my fears when he explained the procedure and answered all my questions without me even having to ask them. He gave me the reassurance and confidence to have surgery. I am so pleased with the result and would recommend Giles to anyone, especially to ladies of my age.

I was very fortunate to have Giles look after me at what was a very anxious time. He is very approachable and extremely easy to talk to. I think his personal experience with his mother having had breast cancer really puts him in a strong position. While having breast surgery for cancer I found Giles to be very calming! He has a great sense of humour, which really helped me to keep what I was going through in perspective, I don't want him to sound superficial, but he really made me feel understood and seemed to know intuitively how to be with me. When discussing the type of cancer I had, he explained everything very carefully and at no time did I feel he was in a rush to get to the next patient. He was completely with me at every step of the way. I have had to have various surgeries and Giles has always been very caring and totally open to all my concerns. He & his team are contactable all the time and always returns calls. His staff are absolutely amazing and I would not hesitate recommending him to any of my friends should they be in an unfortunate position to need breast surgery.

I was very fortunate to be referred to Mr Giles Davies at the New Victoria Hospital for Breast Care investigation. Besides being an expert in this field, he is also kind and understanding. He informs the patient of biopsy results at the earliest opportunity and explains all procedures so that they can be clearly understood. At a follow up appointment, after surgery, he details possible medical interventions. Importantly, he is quite receptive to the patient's views and wishes. I could not have had better care from such a skilled practitioner.
