I have just had cataracts in both eyes removed at The Holly as an NHS patient. At every stage from reception to treatment staff at The Holly were great and the whole experience was superb.I would always choose to be treated at The Holly if offered the choice.
Great Doctor who helped my daughter who was feeling nervous he kept her involved and engaged and kept her feeling at ease !

The Holly met all my expectations, helpful caring staff My stay was made very comfortable nothing was too much trouble.
Excellent hospital.
First rate care after being referred for NHS funded Cateract replacement surgery.
Waiting list times a matter of weeks, Mr Bowes the surgeon was very professional and approachable, always informative and made you feel at ease. Would highly recommend.
I have been most fortunate to experience surgery in this hospital. It was clean and the staff helpful and knowledgeable.
Words can't express the amazing experience on what could have been the worse day of my life.
Thank you Holly House for your kindness and patience.
Every thing is fine. Nothing more to recommend.
As an NHS patient, I would not recommend this hospital. I imagine they treat their private patients better, but I have spent 3 weeks following up an appointment. The same happened at the previous app in July. Why am I having to do this when it's their job?! The amount of times I have had to call is beyond count - I have currently been on hold for 20 minutes. Add to that some staff who have been rude and calls that have been hung up. And I can't say much about the so-called expert consultant either - he essentially said wear a support cast for the rest of my life. The only person who was helpful was Lana.
PS. The lady in the diagnostics who I just spoke to was not interested and refused me to give me her name.
All of the staff at the hospital were very kind and helpful and looked after my mother very well.
Unfortunately, the details of the hospital appointment were delayed in the post and we had to request details via email. As the postal system is not reliable, maybe appointment details should be sent via email of text as well, to ensure the patient is made aware. Had it not been for the fact that we received a telephone call for the required pre-op covid test, she would have missed her operation!
Also the bathroom door in the room my mother was assigned to was very stiff, so she was unable to use the facilities until a nurse came to her aid.
